A:
Begin with dry detangled hair. If you are creating a new curl pattern, divide hair at the temples and secure the top half out of the way using sectioning clips. If you are enhancing your natural curls, start around your center part and crown of your hair. Take about ½” square sections to begin styling. Secure the ends of a section underneath the clamp and roll upwards, wrapping the hair evenly around the barrel. Hold for a few seconds then release the clamp. For loose, wavy curls, tug slightly on the section before allowing it to cool. An alternative method is to use the thumb lever to open clip & wrap hair around the length of barrel, starting from the root. Close the clip to secure the hair on the barrel. Hold the iron until the heat has fully penetrated the hair section. Open clip and unwind the hair from the barrel by holding the ends. Repeat until desired look is achieved.
- For looser curls, take larger sections. For tighter curls, style with smaller sections.
- Curl hair in alternating directions for a more organic feel.
- To add polish and definition to naturally curly hair, wrap frizzy or inconsistent curls around barrel to enhance style

- Expert Styling Tip: For a tousled look, rake fingers or wide tooth comb through hair to loosen curls. For a beachy wave look, leave ends out when curling.

Q:My waves won't hold. What should I do?
A:
Remember that the BodyWaver is intended to create body and loose waves, not curls. All waves will
eventually relax throughout the day so with large barrel irons, it's important to let the wave rest
without disturbance when it is hot so that it doesn't fall flat.
- Do not pull at the section when you are finished curling it because you are essentially
straightening it, and it will cool in this position. Instead, slide the section off and place it
down gently without disturbing the hair so that it can cool in its curled state. Or for greater
style retention, wind the hair section off the barrel as shown by T3 lead stylist Dan Sharp here before
allowing it to cool.
- Try gathering up your hair and clipping loosely place before applying a lightweight hairspray. Wait
for the hairspray to dry before releasing your waves.
- For greater style retention, you can also pin each section up when it comes off the barrel until it
cools.
For more expert tips, view our styling videos here.
Q:How do I create more volume?
A:
To achieve more volume at the root, begin at the root of your hair with the clamp facing up (if at the
crown of your heat) or forward (if working on the sides). Pulling the section taut while over-directing,
clamp the iron into place and apply tension while rolling away from your face (towards the back of your
head). Gradually clamp and release while rolling to feed the rest of your section through the clamp
until you reach the end of the section. Avoid pulling or rolling your sections in a downward position.
For greater volume especially on fine hair, apply root lifting spray or mousse before styling. For more
expert tips, view our styling videos here.
Q:I get crimp marks in my hair from the clamp.
A:
Be sure to comb your section before styling. To avoid creating crimp marks at the end of your hair, slide
the iron slowly all the way down the section so that the ends of your hair are underneath the clamp
before you start rolling. To avoid crimp marks near the root of your hair, wrap the hair section around
the barrel before setting the clamp down as shown here by T3
lead stylist Dan Sharp.
Q:The iron is heavier than I thought.
A:
Due to the number of heaters in the large barrel, you may need to adjust the way you hold the iron to
acclimate yourself to the weight. Use your spare hand to hold the cool tip while rolling. It will help
balance the weight of the iron and make it much easier to style your hair.
Q:How do I care for the iron?
A:
Keep heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hairspray. If cleaning becomes necessary,
disconnect the appliance from the power source and let it cool. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Use
the included heat resistant mat to clean the barrel.
Q:Can I use this product in all countries?
A:
No, it is necessary to check the voltage requirement and the plug type for the country you are visiting.
For travel usage, we recommend the Twirl Convertible which contains a special electronic circuit that
automatically converts it for worldwide usage - from 100-240 volts AC, 50/60Hz.
Q:Where is the serial number located?
A:
A: The serial number is the 14 or 15 digit alpha/numeric identifier located on the handle of the
iron.
Q:How do I rotate the barrel?
A:
Press the 'GO Button' located underneath the finger grip and slowly rotate your wrist to the left or
right. The barrel will rotate in the same direction as your wrist and will continue to rotate until you
remove your finger from the 'Go Button'.
Q:How do I select the speed?
A:
You must select the speed each time you turn on the iron. Press the Power & Temperature switch once
quickly to turn the iron on with the Slow speed or hold down the switch for 2 seconds to turn it on with
the Fast speed.
Q:How do I know what temperature is right for my hair type?
A:

recommend starting with the lowest heat setting and working your way up.

usage - from 100-240 volts AC, 50/60Hz. Simply plug the tool into the local outlet and the tool will
automatically adjust to the local current. However, you may need a plug adapter to fit into the power
supply receptacle. DO NOT use this product with a converter.
Q:My product is not working.
A:
- Make sure all of the rollers are firmly twisted into place on their sockets, and the power cord is
firmly pushed into the base.
- Locate the power button in the middle of the base and make sure it is in the 'on' position. Then,
look for the purple light indicator, located on the front of the base on the right side, to ensure
it is illuminated.
- If the rollers still do not heat up or the indicator light on the base is not lit, contact us for additional support.
Q:The clips aren't holding the rollers in place.
A:
Make sure to pull your hair section up, or out (over direct) tightly and wrap the section firmly around
the rollers before clamping the clip into place. The rollers should rest against your head.
Q:The clips are leaving a crease in my hair.
A:
Make sure the spring side of the clip is positioned up, to the back or slightly forward. Do not push the
spring side of the clip into the root of the hair section as this will leave a crease.

Q:How do I operate the rollers?

to heat up to the high heat setting upon first use, indicated by 2 solid lights.
- To change the temperature to the Low heat setting, press the Power & Temperature Adjustment

Q:The clips aren't holding the rollers in place.

the rollers before clamping the clip into place. The rollers should rest against your head.
Q:The clips are leaving a crease in my hair.

spring side of the clip into the root of the hair section as this will leave a crease.

A:
The serial number is a 15 digit alpha/numeric identifier located underneath the base.
Q:How do I replace the filter?
A:
- Remove the hand-held unit from the bracket.
- Grasp the top half of the hand-held unit and twist the bottom half counter-clockwise before pulling
down firmly.
- Remove the adhesive labels on the new filter and push it firmly into the bottom housing of the
handle. It does not matter which direction it is inserted into the housing.
- Twist the halves back together and return the hand-held unit to the hand-held bracket.
- Make sure to flush with hot water for 5 minutes before showering.
Q: The T3 Source is difficult to open/unscrew for the changing of filters.
A:
Prior to installation, we recommend the application of plumber’s silicone grease on threaded sections of the filter housing for ease of servicing.
Q:I just installed the T3 Source and my water pressure has dropped.
A:
Please be sure to apply the plumber's tape to the shower pipe threads prior to installing the filter.
Even if water is not leaking from the connection, the pressure may be affected if there isn't a snug
fit. T3 Source products have a maximum flow rate of 2.5 gal/minute as mandated by the EPA. If your old
showerhead had a higher flow rate, you will notice a drop in water pressure.
Q:The T3 Source is leaking where it attaches to the shower pipe.
A:
Make sure the plumber's tape has been applied. The fitting should feel snug as you screw the T3 Source
into place. You may also need a wrench to ensure a tight fit.
Q:The hand-held unit does not stay where I've positioned it.
A:
You may require a new bracket. Contact us for
additional support.
Q:Where is the serial number located?
A:
T3 Source products do not have serial numbers; therefore, they are not required to qualify for our
warranty program. However, you will need to submit a copy of your receipt. The manufacturer date code is located on the inner corner of the top box.
