I have a cheaper Conair and wanted to upgrade, but after using this a couple times, I feel like it made my hair stiffer and gave an odd texture. Probably just my particular hair type, but I gave the dryer to my mom instead and went back to my old dryer. If it ain't broke...

I've had T3 dryers before and have never had any problems, which is why I didn't mind paying more (and especially because it was on sale - I ended up paying less!) The choice of heat settings and speeds make it very versatile, so it can be used for many styles. I happened to have found a great styling product that encourages the curl in my hair, but it's absolutely essential to have a dryer/diffuser combination that will also adapt, and with the Soft2 diffuser, this combination works wonders! My hair comes out curly, healthy, and shiny! I am so happy and am confident that I'll get many years of use from this dryer.
